Morocco's National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) is actively planning to approve a 5G Standalone (SA) network plan for mobile communication devices. Furthermore, in the future, it will no longer approve mobile communication devices that exclusively use 2G and 3G technologies, but will instead require devices to be equipped with at least 4G technology.

Currently, although ANRT has not yet issued any official announcements regarding this matter, it is expected that more related information will be gradually released in 2024. This initiative will have a profound impact on Morocco's telecommunications market and technological development, and warrants close attention from both the industry and consumers.
