Common web design styles can generally be categorized into five types:
- Minimalist Style
The overall layout is clean and minimal, without excessive lines, graphics, or colors. At most, two colors are used intermittently to provide a finishing touch.
This style places a particular emphasis on overall screen proportions, typography design, font size, and layout. It is timeless and elegant, providing users with a comfortable and smooth experience.
- Illustration Style
The illustration style typically utilizes graphic illustrations or geometric lines as background elements. Occasionally, website banners and icons are designed to match this theme. This style makes the website appear fresh and engaging, while emphasizing the site's unique identity.
- Photo/Video-Centric Style
This style uses distinctive photos or videos to create the website's atmosphere. The overall design is relatively concise and flat, sometimes paired with minimal color and line accents. This style looks sophisticated and professional, making it one of the most common website design styles.
- 3D Style
This style utilizes a small amount of 3D visual effects to make the website appear more three-dimensional and vivid. This approach enhances the overall visual appeal of the site, highlights its uniqueness, and provides a fun experience for the user.
- Hero Style
The characteristic of this style lies in the arrangement of the screen; each view presents only one core element, sometimes combined with an oversized and exquisite banner. This makes the expression of the screen clear and concise, allowing users to immediately understand the theme and key content.
There are hundreds of web design styles, and each can be mixed with others to create new aesthetics. It is recommended that you refer to web design styles you like and then discuss them with your designer.
