Certification information

• Certification：SALEEM or SABER、Product Certification of Conformity (PCoC) + Shipment Certificate of Conformity (SCoC)
• Scope：Safety only
• Reports / samples：CB or SIRC (no samples are required for the PCoC application; the SCoC application involves pre-shipment inspection)

Saudi Arabia began the phased implementation of the Saudi Product Safety Program, also known as the “SALEEM” program (Arabic for “safe and healthy”), in 2018. To ensure the implementation of the SALEEM program, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) had issued a total of 35 technical regulations by the deadline, covering product categories such as electrical equipment, automotive parts, children's toys, chemicals, and machinery. Under SASO regulations, products falling within the scope of the technical regulations issued under the SALEEM program must meet the requirements of the applicable technical regulations and complete product registration on SABER, the conformity-assessment electronic platform, to obtain the required certificates before they may be sold on the Saudi market.
