Product Definition and Specification Requirements

According to the specification, the equipment applies to the automatic emptying and cleaning of dedicated waste cassettes used in mobile camping. Features include the addition of disinfectant and fresh water after the final rinse to remove odors and accelerate waste degradation. Such equipment is expected to be directly connected to cold water supply systems and sanitary drainage systems.

Furthermore, the specification notes that if the equipment contains electrical components, it must comply with the regulations of relevant electrical regulatory authorities upon request.

WaterMark Certification and PCA Regulations

In accordance with the requirements of the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA), most products used for plumbing and drainage facilities within or around buildings must be evaluated and certified based on WaterMark product specifications. WaterMark certification provides a process for assessing and authorizing products to ensure plumbing and drainage products are fit for their intended purpose.

This WMTS (WaterMark Technical Specification) was developed based on the protocols for developing product specifications in the WaterMark Certification Scheme Manual, aiming to align product certification with PCA requirements.
